I finished this part of a media center my wife wanted for Christmas. It was done around New Years. It is our our own sizing and design. The internal carcass is Oak plywood and the exterior is red oak, with walnut plugs. The legs are white oak. The finish is a seal coal of shellac, between 1/2 and 1 lb, with a mix of varathane mission(gunstock) and Minwax early American Stain, and 4 coats of wipe-on poly on top.
Their will be another, smaller height cabinet with sliding stain glass doors on top, to finish it off. That will be done in the next month or so. The boards are all roughed out.
Honest commentary welcome!
