SC Bandsaw Guide Modification

SC kind of over did it with their bandsaw blade guard. It was so safe that it was dangerous trying to see around it when sawing. I understand some just took it off. I like the idea of good protection but I wanted to see what I was cutting. So I remade the Blade guard as shown in the picture. Now I can see what I'm doing and have protection from getting my fingers in the blade.
Steel City has made some modifications that were supposed to come out in Feb. I asked if they were going to retrofit their previous BSs and Dave said not at that time. So I did it myself.

I ran into problems with changing blades of 3/4" or wider...there wasn't enough room between the guides and the guard, which meant that the guard needed to be loosened/removed to change wide blades.

I ended up cutting off the left half of the guard so I can now change blades without adjusting the guard.
