Nice work Mike! Seeing that red inside sure gets your attention when you aren't expecting it!

A very nice box Mike, the more I see the flocking on the inside the more I like it.

Beautiful box Mike...as usual. :D

How well do you like the flocking? Do you find it easy enough to apply?

The flocking is powdered felt. Its real simple. I just brush the red adhesive on the inside and put a hand full of fibers inside and put the lid on and shake it up. Let it set for about 15 miniutes and dump the excess back in the bag. Last, gently blow out the excess with the air hose.

Did you flock the inside of the top, too? Might be an interesting twist.

Box looks great- thanks for sharing

Classic form.
As to the flocking - a definite booster. never tried it myself.
Where do you get the powder? How tenacious is the result?
Well done...

I got the flocking and adhesive online from Woodcraft. I did flock the lid on this one. I bought a large quanity because I did quite a few of these at Christmas, but it takes very little of both parts, I can't see me using up all of it in years to come. I just apply the adhesive with a small artist brush.

Im inspired by your work. Sure would like to see the inside of the lid. Is flocking strong enough to last , say for example putting change or keys in and out of the box without the flocking comeing off?
thanks, keith

Looks great, and I love the form. The flocking is a great addition. I am too wondering about it's durability.
