Well I finally had to breakdown and do a mid-sized gloat for a mid-sized machine. :D

I just got my dust collector delivered today - YEAH!!

I think I am more excited about this machine than any of the other machines - hence the gloat.

Bye Bye Dust and hello cleaner air. Ahhhhhh....

And I have read the gloat rules so pic is included.

You will love this one. I got one 2 months ago and questioned my self why I waited for so long. 2 points to take note: this dust collector is tall and requires a 20amp circuit by itself. Do not let small tool pieces or small pets near the hose while turned on............Enjoy your DC. Godspeed.

LOL...My dog ripped a pillow open with those tiny little balls inside of it and I had to use mine to get them out of his coat...regular vac couldn't do the job. But my 70lb dog doesn't fit through the 4" hose :D

Nice choice!

I installed that machine about 18 months ago and have never been unhappy with it. Invest $20 for a remote switch and you will be styling!

You may want a chip separator to help reduce the number of bag changes.

Very cool. Enjoy in good health and in a cleaner shop. Now you will get flack for no sawdust. Never ends.

That's a great DC. I bought the same one last year and it makes all the difference (over the old shop vac, that is).

Congrats.

Well out of the box last night and discovered a big dent in the side of the machine next to the motor. :(

Called Amazon and they are replacing it ASAP. The next one will be here between 03/21 and 03/25. :o I got the super saver shipping free shipping for the purchase. They are also going to pay for UPS to pickup the damaged one.

Things happen...

At least Amazon has good customer service.:o

Next week I should be good to go.

I have the same one. Love it. I made a little modification that really helped. Inside the black Y connector that the hose attaches to is a little cross piece. There is another cross piece just before the fan/impeller. I removed these because wood like western maple and some others is stringy when planed and got plugged up at these cross pieces. Got tired of taking the hose off and unplugging all the time. I think the only purpose for these is safety, so you can't fit your hand up inside the machine and possibly have a accident. The machine should be unplugged anyway when cleaning it out.

I did the same as John did. I was cleaning it out too often. Now it never clogs up.

Thanks for the tips guys! I'll check it out and make the same mods.

Now I am thinking about that remote that Scott mentioned. I might have to get one of those as well; I'll see how it goes...
