Can I do this?

I have an Oneida Gorilla and I would like to hose out the filter (found the leak above the bin) after finding it loaded. Air cleaning takes a long time and really makes you dirty.

I searched and found a couple ideas from using the filters from the outside and using the DC to clean the filter but it is too late for those now.

Any help would be great.

I have the 2 hp Commercial Oneida DC and I clean the filter with water. Just as the pic shows, I set the filter on the sidewalk and use a garden hose with the nozzle set on "Jet" to wash the sawdust out of the pleats. After washing, I let it sit out in the sun to dry. After re-installing, I run the DC to further dry it out before introducing any dust to the system.

Thank you. Reading the directions was never one of my strong points.
