I am interested in purchasing a Multi-Router.
Does anyone offer a good deal on a fully loaded package?
What is the best place for me to buy one?

Would you sell a MAKA mortiser and get a Multi-Router?

Thanks for your advice,

Rob

Try David J. Marks Website. Not sure as I have never purchased such a machine but should be worth a look.

I just looked at it a couple days ago at djmarks.com, it's around 2695.00 plus options like air power clamping. If you get one, you know we all want to know what you think.:D

Ultimately they all get them from JDS

I've been using a slot mortiser for 25 years as well as all the shops around me. OK, two guys have the multirouter. I prefer this type...

I don't need the bells and whistles of the MR and much prefer the quieter induction motor and the lower speed range is much more useful for drilling as I can use it as a doweling machine or horizontal drill press.

I agree, I really like the slot mortiser

What I was asking is whether or not all Multi-Router dealers are the same price and if anybody offers a special deal on a fully equipped package.

On a different note, the Mortise Pal looks like a nice tool and it takes up like zero shop space.

Suggestions?

I've been following slot mortisers closely for many years and have even converted old handmills. I'm pretty sure prices are pretty much fixed on the Multi-router. I think the Laguan slot mortiser I linked to is the best deal going except for the Grizzly G-0540

The Wirth machine from Woodworkers Supply is as close as you are going to get to the bells and whistles of the Multi-router

The morise pal can't compare to the speed and ease of a dedicated slot mortiser

The G-0540 would be the better deal in my opinion.

Thanks Rick,
Is that price on Laguna's website correct?

As far as I know. Call them to verify.

I ordered the Laguna about a month ago. The price is correct, plus you pay freight FOB. The first shipment of machines scheduled to arive mid to late March was already sold out. I'm on a list for the second shipment due late March, early April (slow boat from China...literally) which they claimed was almost sold out. After that they were talking June?
