This one tested my nerve! Beautiful burl with everything - lots of color, curl, cracks, voids and bark inclusions!

Measures 4 ¾” high X 5 ½” diameter and slightly less than ¼” in thickness. Sanded to 400 grit with Watco ‘Natural’ as a finish.

As always - your comments and critiques are appreciated.

Thanks for looking!

Steve that is just perfect. I love it.
A question if I may. Do you rough turn you Maple burl or can you just turn it all at one time?

Thanks for sharing
Steve

Oh, my goodness, Steve! That is absolutely amazing. THe form is magnificent, the holes are really well dispersed (not that you have any control over that), and there's still some wood left!:D And your finish and photography are first rate, as always. Amazing work!

That's very nice Steve! I like the simple form that doesn't compete with everything going on (and missing) in the wood.

Steve,
Very nice bowl. It is one HF that you could check for consistent wall thickness just by looking. Great piece of work, sanding must of been fun.

Steve, I guess you know in these situations with inclusions you can only do what the wood will allow you to do, and it looks like you have done a fine job with it.

Simply amazing.

You must make a lot of noise when you walk. You've got nerves of steel and, ahem, other parts made of solid brass.
