I want to share some photos with friends and have tried Snapfish and Flickr. The problem I have with these two sites is that they both rearrange the photos and put them in alphabetical order by name. I want to post them in order by date taken. Can someone recommend a free site that accepts the photos in the same order they are in my "My Pictures" album? There are about 400 of them, so giving them new names such as "1 - picture of cow", "2 - above it all", etc. would require renaming all of them and be a pita.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Joe

I use www.webshots.com (http://www.webshots.com) when I upload my photos they stay in the order I upload them in. You can also go back after the fact and rearrange them in your albums.

Joe,

Picasa Web Albums allows you to arrange by Alpha,Date, as well as drag and drop them in any order you want.

I really like Picasa on the PC as well - nice and simple tools for adjusting, modifying, arranging, and viewing photos. I can also create public or private web-albums for my family and friends that can be found using Google or only with the links that I email out.

http://www.4shared.comworks as you describe. I upload a folder and it stays in the order it was on my computer. For the free version you must log on once a month th keep it active.

Wow! Looks like others have had this problem. I'll check out those sites. Now there is another problem: my photos are about 1.5 meg in size and I need a program to resize them en masse, again without altering their order.
We're traveling in New Zealand in a van for three months and using internet as it is available, so I may not respond quickly.
It is so nice here we may decide to stay. It has been over a month since I had socks on, and don't miss them at all.

Joe I think photobucket auto resizes them over 1mb and has a 'bulk uploader'
