Hi, I would like to know which finish do you prefer oil or water based? I know that oil based has a lot of odor. Thank you.

Other than on some turnings, I do not use any oil based finishes. I use water borne products from Target Coatings when I'm spraying and shellac; the latter I both spray and brush.

Depends on the season.

During warmer months, I usually spray on Target USL in a protected area outside. During the colder months I'll finish inside and usually use a wipe-on oil/varnish mix. They both work well.
