Hi folks. I'm a beginner looking for a project and wanted to build a rocking horse for my brother in law's expected child. They are not going to find out what it is...but I figured a rocking horse was a safe bet boy or girl. He runs a dairy farm so they have a major cow theme going on. While searching for rocking horse plans I came accross the following link that has every kind of stuffed animal you could imagine mounted to a rocking base. I've linked to the cow if you can take a look.

Do you think this would be easily replicated? Do you think if I found a cow at goodwill I could retrofit it onto a rocker base??

Any ideas conceptually how I could do this??

Thanks for any help/ideas!!!

Thx for the replies....I actually did buy a rocking cow plan...it's all wood and I plan to make it.

But what I'm really looking for are any ideas on how the above link (http://www.erockinghorses.com/rockin...lvinthecow.cfm (http://www.erockinghorses.com/rocking-animals/plush/calvinthecow.cfm)) is accomplished - attaching a stuffed animal to a rocking base.

I have 2 ideas I'm mulling over right now:

1. Buy a stuffed cow, open the legs, insert some kind of frame into the cow for support, restuff, attach to base.

2. Buy a plan to make a stuffed cow...make the cow with material, build a frame, drape the material over the frame and stuff the cow, finish it with some way to attach legs to rocker base.

Thx for any ideas anyone might have.
