I am in the process of rehabbing this 2" slick. It has obviously been abused for some time. I have a few of questions.
1 - I am in the process of peening the socket, and I wonder if I should be concerned about work hardening the top of the socket? Should I consider annealing the top part of the socket, or just proceed trying to restore as much of the original shape as possible?
2 - What is the proper name for this type of slick? Bent neck?
3 - How long should the handle be?
4 - Should the handle be straight, or should I attempt to curve it just above the socket so that the majority of handle runs parallel with the back of the blade?
Thanks in advance.
cheers, Paul
