Did some traveling this past two weeks. Purchased some wood in Miami Florida, Jacksonville Florida, Perry Georgia & Macon Georgia.
From left to right:
8/4 Afromosia, 8/4 Hard Maple, 8/4 Walnut, 8/4 Cherry, 4/4 Cherry, 4/4 Cherry rough Sawn.
Enough wood to keep me busy on Band Saw Boxes and Flat Boxes.

8/4 Afromosia

I've always wanted to build something out of Afromosia. How is it to work with?

Tim,
I'll let you know in a few weeks. Am working at finishing two projects before I start another. My first impression from handling the wood from the store to my vehicle is that I got a handfull of splinters. It is a very heavy wood. My first project with it will be a bandsaw box. If it machines as well as it looks I'll be happy.
