Spun from a 3 inch Pewter circle and adorned on a rose engine. Trimed with Ebony and pink ivory.

So the pewter bell part is not a Kit and you start with a flat piece?

Yes, I started with a flat 3" disk (1/32" thick). Thanks

Undeniably beautiful..But what really grabbed my interest was the words "rose engine."I have done extensive reseach on rose engines and other than the prohibitive cost it seems a steep learning curve.Could you elaborate a bit on it (the rose engine of course and how you got involved in that aspect of turning.Did you construct your own? Did you get training or see one in person to learn before you jumped in?)

I built my own, and I'm self taught. I had no prior exposure, I ran accross the topic a couple of years ago and just jumped in. Here is a link to our group that should be helpful. Thanks
