Yesterday was the annual Appalachian Woodworking Expo.
I took 11 pieces for the show, the Big Leaf Maple Burl Winged Bowl took best of show and the Silver Poplar piece took People’s Choice ribbons.
I also got some 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons for the rest.

Don't know what your competition was, but those pieces look like they would do well in any show!

Jim, your work is consistantly best of show around here. I'm not supprized you did so well. Congradulations on the well deserved awards.

Congratulations Jim. At the very least you should get the "most heroic" award for turning that big propeller....:)
