I've had this laying on the shelf for about a year so I thought I'd see what it looked like. Kinda hard wood to turn when its dry but it sands good. Measures 4x3, antique oil finish.

I love the form. It's very gentle and subtle. The litle bit of heartwood on the top...tops it off. Realy nice box.

Ken, the interior is flocking, which is nothing more than powdered felt. Just brush on the adhesive , put a hand full of felt inside and put the lid back on and shake it up.

Nice little box Mike! Love the soft curve to it! The treatment of the inside really makes the natural color of the wood POP! Nice work!

Where can you buy the flocing felt and the glue to put that on. That is very nice

Most suppliers have flocking sets. I used to have a giant gun that looked like an insect fogger to put it on but it is long gone.

It is relatively inexpensive. Not as durable as real felt but the only way to do an irregular surface and plenty nice.

It is used for goose decoys sometimes and is available in a number of "sizes" I guess.

Is the felt on the inside of the lid ?

Dan I bought the flocking online from Woodcraft, I didn't do the flocking on the lid, but one could.

Nice looking wood Mike and great form to show it off. The flocking does set off the color of the wood nicely.
