I drove up to the Charlotte Woodworking Show which was both disappointing and-at least for Friday-sparsely attended. Craft had a booth where they were providing free lessons in pen turning on several lathes. As usual, Kirk was incredibly patient w/his advice on turning and sharpening, and a new member of the staff, Jerry was also extremely nice and helpful. He's had an amazing career as an artist, restorer of classic cars and a host of other wild career moves. I have always had an excellent experience dealing with Craft over the internet, at shows and on the phone. Their sales people and technical support are top notch. It speaks well of their management. Also the Southern Piedmont Turners club was there and you might want to find out about their symposium near Charlotte during the Spring. It sounds like it will be very interesting. Hope you don't mind the prattle, but perhaps some of you might find this useful.
