I ordered a Wixey digital planer gauge for my old (but great!) 12" Belsaw planer. Now I'm looking for help/suggestions as to how I might install it. I looked at the online manual for Wixey and all of their procedures apply to planers where the table is stationary. My table moves up and down.

Thanks

Go to the WoodMaster Tool website and look around there at the 712-718 planers.
They now offer digital scales for their planers/molders.

Those machines are a spin-off of the Foley Belsaws.

I have the 712, and it came with the digital gauge, but I have yet to put it on.

Rocky;

If you check out our web site in the "will it fit my? section http://wixey.com/planer/fit/index.html there are several sets of photos that show the device mounted on machines that have moving tables instead of moving cutter heads. The Jet 20" and a few of the others have done it pretty nicely.

Barry, thanks. I did look before I bought it and didn't see what you're referring too......I guess I missed it. :rolleyes: I'll check it out now.
