I ordered a new belt for my "new" craftsman table saw, but I thought it was to big (1/2 inch wide) now that I have sent it back... I think I may have been wrong... can anyone tell a stupid noob what size belt to get? it has the original motor and pulleys...
Thanks:o

This response is to a Newb who's learning and asking alot of good questions, not a stupid newb. I've had 3 of those saws in my shop...1/2" seems right, but I'm not absolutely positive.

According to Sears parts, the belt size is 1/2" by 41" long.

Thanks guys... now I need to reorder the part I returned. Maybe I should have just opened it and tried it out before getting paranoid...

Since you need to order a new belt, why not get a link belt and get rid of vibration at the same time. You still need 1/2" link belt and 41". You'll be glad you did.

I had ordered the Fenner Drive Poly twist v-belt I think that is the link belt, the red one with the weird material?

Linked belt took the shake and shimmy right out of my old Cman
Great invention.
