Here is a project that I finished up in mid December. It is made out of quited maple veneer over plywood. This was my first veneer project. I cut the veneer on the MM16. I built the vacuum press and bag based on the plans and parts from Joe Woodworker. Thanks for looking.

I do like figured maple. Very nice.

One of those is on my to do list. Actually two, one for the turtles and one for the fish.

Super-nice Mike. I love quilted maple, how it looks 3D.

Where is it located? It looks like it is in a small office.

That's a great looking stand. The QM was a good choice.

Thanks everyone.

Kyle, I haven't determined what kind of fish will go into the aquarium stand.

Jeremy, It is currently located in my home office. The room next door to it is LOML's office. The floor plan calls it a formal living room, but we are not very formal people. So, it is used as an office. We have other living areas that get the most use.

I should have said that I purchased the inlay. I'm not quite ready for that yet.

That's some really nice work. That also looks like a 55 gallon tank...one of my favorite size tanks. Both tank and stand make a really nice addition to any room.

I realize that this is an old thread but I'm looking to make my own aquarium stand for a 60 Gallon Cube I'm picking up soon and was wondering how much it cost you to make your own quilted maple plywood and where did you get your veneer from. I've looked at veneersupplies.com but if you know of a better supplier let me know.

Mike, you have made a beautiful tank stand. I bet some saltwater fish would look superb along with some live rock.
