I was working on some pens today and while truing up the end of a blank, my pen mill caught an edge and ripped a huge chunk out of the blank. Now I am very careful when I glue so I don't think it was due to poor coverage (incidently I use thick CA and sand my tube with 150 grit). It looks like the glue had not adhered well to the wood. Now I have heard of people wiping a piece of wood down with DNA to improve the adhesion of glue, but how do you do that inside a hole?
Any suggestion? What do you do to make sure you have good adhesion?
