I have to ask what you think of this combination of wood? I kind of like it. I think it's just different enough to make it unique. Made it for my son.

thats real nice.

i want to build one .... I dont have any of those woods, and was just gonna use plain ole maple and walnut ...but now I may venture out into something more exotic, because THAT combination and grain pattern is very eye catching.

It looks fantastic. Ambrosia maple is one of those woods that when used properly, can make a dramatic statement. You did a great job.

Excellent work on the chess board. Your son should love it.
