Does anyone have experience with a good quality hinge template jig? This is for regular house door hinges. I need to mill 7 doors for my present job and the door shop wants $50 per door for milling and boring.

Are there better or worse jigs? I"m looking for reliability and longevity.

Thanks very much for your advice.

Do you have the existing doors. Or should I say are you replacing existing? In that case I dont think you need a jig just a router and a square.
I have the PC 4 hinge door hinging template wich is great If you have alot of doors. Its great and dead on accurate.
For the handles just a hole saw and a square with a 7/8" bit.

Worked in a door shop making 1 3/4" passage doors. Sometimes we hung 40+ doors in a couple of days if they were going out pre-hung. We made a master templete out of 3" MDF or plywood rips using a cross cut sled and a rip blade at the table saw. We screwed simple cross braces to the edge of the templete for allignment and used an 1/8" shim to set the gap at the top. Couple of clamps and away you go. Total cost $2...time to make the jig...15 minutes if your moving slow. Did the same basic thing for butt hinges on cabinet doors as well.

If your hanging slabs in the field on pre installed jambs it still works great as long as the hinge placement is consistent. If you have a lot of different hing spacings it gets time consuming to make a different jig for each door and a bosch jig might start to make sense.

The Bosch jig is adjustable for 1 3/4 , 1 3/8 thick doors and different hinge sixes , 3" up to 4 1/2" IIRC , different door heights , the common ones ,etc.

If you hang many "regular" doors, residential or commercial it's the way to go.

I too have the Porter Cable hinge butt template kit. I got mine off of ebay for ~$150. Dead on accurate and a breeze to use. For the locks I got an Kwikset template off of Ebay that is as old as the hills. Still works like the day it was made.
