View Full Version : Cyclone Purchase Question

Locally I can get a new/never used PSI Tempest cyclone w/o blower & motor for about 55% retail - it was bought that way. My shop is in my garage and tight for space since my wife insists on parking her Suburban in it :D. I currently have a Jet DC1100 w/cartridge. I plan to add the DC1100 motor/blower/cartridge to the Tempest. I have just enough space for the Tempest.

Anyone have experience with PSI Tempest? For around $200 is this upgrade worth it?

There have been a number of different "Tempest" systems with different sizes and specifications...what are the size factors for the one you have the opportunity to buy?

(I talked to the PSI tech. rep. and he said the Jet would work fine as long as my main run was 5" or 6" in diameter.)
