Well, if you don't have enough tools, you can buy a tool maker.

Seems Pentair, the parent of Delta, Porter Cable and others decided it wanted to get in to the water business and spent $850,000,000 doing so. Now they have to sell their tool making operation to replace the cash they just spent. The operations go on the market soon, get your check books ready.

I own a LOT of Porter Cable stuff, hope the quality doesn't suffer. I also hope not too many workers get displaced.

Disclaimer: this was reported in my latest issue of Woodshop News, so if it is old hat, I apologize.

I just read that yesterday when my Woodshop News arrived. Do you think, if we get every woodworker in the country to donate $5 we could buy them? Just kidding. I'm sure that since the two companies have been bought and sold, they should be able to keep the same quality. Maybe it would even improve some. I hope all the workers can keep their jobs, too. I also hope that the company isn't bought by another country. Keep it in the USA.
