I barely know a PM from a SawStop, is this something jump-worthy for $500?

If it runs I would buy it in a heartbeat

Don't blink, it will be gone.

Is it 3-phase or single phase? I think that would be a really great price for a single phase machine. If it's 3-phase, then you would need to get a phase converter, or replace the motor, if you need to operate on a single phase source.

Even if 3 phase, it is still worth it. Anything under a grand for a PM 66 (that's what is shown) is a deal.

Looks like you need to add in the cost of a fence system also.

Excellent, thanks for the input. It's listed as having a 'large extension table' and fence, but they aren't pictured. I've emailed the seller for the details and it sounds like I should give a call as well ;)

I might be on a roll, $100 Shop Fox mortiser...$500 PM66 :D

A shop I used to work for had a 14" 7.5hp Powermatic tablesaw that they sold for $1000. (The blade is way forward on those, 3 people knocked fingers off on it in about a year) I didn't buy it because it was 3phase and I didn't want to sit on it until my shop was somewhere that did have 3ph. I kick myself everytime I think about it. Thanks for dredging up that horrible memory.:o

Buy it! Especially if 1 phase and with fence!

Hey no problem! If it turns out to be 3ph I'd try the VFD route with some help from my friend ebay. Now I need to chloroform some of the guys to get it home. It's only ~45 miles, I figure a furniture dolly will work :D

People read Craigs List every night for a year, waiting for a PM66 to show up.
Erm. Well, I do. And I already have one! LOL
Now, one showed up in Phoenix for $500 yesterday, but I can't t hink of anyone to call to go buy it!
