Good god I've been throwing away a fortune! I am going to start mailing bags to needy horses as a tax right off! The part that scares me is:

"Wineries use oak sawdust as a flavoring agent for some wines."

I'd like to avoid drinking those wines as I have been consuming enough sawdust already.:cool:

I saw this, too (front page!) and felt so sorry for these guys that I swept up my shop and sent the sweepings to them.

Yep, heard that on the radio this morning. I immediately called in sick, went back home and spent all day burying mason jars full of sawdust in the back yard. College for my son is now assured.

I'm presently porting my DC into a 40 yrd roll off for easy transportation. Don't know if I can off set that 3 Billion BF deficit in the NW, but I'm gonna do my part!

Wow does this mean that if I get a cyclone it might even pay for itself. Efficent dust collection and savings.

My daughter is in the equestrian business and has horses on our property. My dust collector is plumbed directly into her woodchip shed so she is alway encouraging me to plane more wood..lol.

But getting enough wood shavings is a problem.

Been giving my chips to a friend with a horse for years. Win-win.

If saw dust is more expensive because less wood is being processed, then shouldn't lumber prices fall?

Pretty wild stuff! Amazing about the trickle-down effect of some things....
