Hi All
A VERY good friend of mine was taking down some trees in his yard
wanted to know if I wanted any of the wood or if he should burn it
in his fireplace. I told him I would come after it and he said he would
bring in his saw mill and square it up for me.
So
what does anyone think, was the 900 mile round trip worth it?????
I was worth it to see a good friend and his wife.
Most of the wood is white holly and the three bigger pieces are
Maple with some spalting and lots of figure. He thought I would like
these also.
Also have a few pieces of Red Bud that is a 4x4
ken

Not so sure about the lengthy trip Ken but it looks like you have some nice turning wood there, and hey a chance to visit a friend

Bit of a streach for me , but then I've driven 200miles one way for a 5 # burl ......so I think it was , as this will give you lots to work with .

Red Bud is pretty stuff. Holly can be pretty expensive. Plus its a chance to go see a friend. Maybe weigh the cost of that Holly vs what you'll pay in gas?
