Back from the Thunderbird Artists Fine Art & Wine festival.

What a fantastic show. This event is supposed to be one of the top 10 events of its kind in the nation. I was surrounded by some of the most talented artists around. I sold 2 pieces for a very nice price, made plenty of contacts and came away with some new ideas I may be able to implement into my style of work. All the artists were wonderful people. Not many wood workers but the ones that were there were amazing. Too bad most won't let you take pictures. All in all, I made good money, met great people and had a great time. I'll post pics of my booth tomorrow.

I sold the Quilted Maple/Black Ebony/Torquoise piece and one I made a long time ago out of Bocote/Purple heart/chaktekok and Maple.

Very nice! of course, the hours invested nets you less... but that's still a decent wage for the weekend :) Plus the visibility and those clients showing off your pieces to yet other possible future purchasers.
