coffee table done, pictures

Santos mahogany top and eastern steamed beech legs. Finish is a wipe on poly, hopefully it holds up. I've had this mahogany board for 3 years as coffee table, it was just s4s and on some silly legs, finally got around to making it look decent. But i'm unsure about the high gloss finish, might be to flashy for me..

That is a beautiful piece. I really like the finish, can you tell me which poly it was? and how you did the leg attachment? I know I'd be proud to have that in my living room :D

I love the grain in that top. It looks great. How are the legs joined to the top? Is there a closeup of that?

the leg joint is more a modified hinged then a joint, kind of like a ball and socket. anyways it works well for this applaction. sorry no photos before assembly. The finish is wipe on minwax gloss..
