I have found several people that I can order from, Woodcraft, Rocker etc. but they want 40 dollars and I need two sets. I can purchase a 24" from Menards for $8.99. For a shop cabinet, I am having a hard time justifying
the extra $62.00. Even though it is a shop project :D.

I was thinking of mounting the 24" drawer side two a sliding dovetail that would go in the side of the cabinet. The sliding Dovetail would then have a pin to keep it from coming out more then 4" to get my full 28". Has anyone done this?

Thanks for the comments.

If side mounts are OK, KV8400's come in 28" lengths. I pay $9.38 a set through a local supplier.

We installed ~1000pr of CompX slides from WWHardware last year, no problems reported. These slides are pretty indistinguishable from KV's or Accurides. 28" slides are $9.11/pr.

There's a couple reputable sellers on ebay, looks like you could get 2 pr shipped for less the $40.

Thanks for the links. Looks like ordering will be the best way. At $10 each, I am ok with buying.
