As some of you know I built a workstation for my Ridgid 3650 a few months ago. Since then the herc-u-lift and legs for the saw were just sitting around. I decided to put them to use this last week. I simply made a box with a drawer in it and attached it to the leg base and then put the planer on top. It's very simple but works great. I no longer have to lift that heavy thing every time I use it and you can never have enough storage.

I love it! Not only are you making good use of the mobile base now, you've added storage space and raised the height of the planer enough so that when using it you're doing your back a favor, too. You neigher have to lift the planer nor bend over as far to plane boards.
