Any suggestions on how to engrave on an Alder Desk Wedge.????
Short of cutting a templete.

playdough can do wonders :D

but seriously, if you are doing more than one. I would recommend creating a template. What I have done in the past was get a block of wood and cut a "V" into it so that the wedge can sit down inside the V with one of the flat edges of the wedge sitting up.

If you take a couple of pieces of wood, say 8" x 8" x 1/4" and hinge them together then at the hinge point of one glue a stop across the bottom you can make an adjustable angle jig go for many items that need to be leveled before engraving.

Just cut two pieces of wood at a 45 deg angle, and fasten them to a base piece.. Instant jig for holding many types of objects, from one off pens/pencils to desk wedges, make it any length you need..
