My mother-in-law is building my wife's niece a doll house from a kit. She was thinking that she would like to make some changes to it and asked me about them. One of the changes will require a new exterior wall. The exterior walls are 3/8" thick and has the siding pattern cut into it. Each "clapboard" is 3/8" wide and ~1/32 of an inch thick/deep. How would you go about cutting the siding pattern into a new piece of wood?

Anthony, I have built a few dollhouses and had the best luck building the wall from ply and add the siding to it. If you google "doll house siding" you can find the pre-cut siding all over the net for some pretty good prices. 360 square inches of precut birch for $9.99 would probably save a lot of hours trying to set something up with a router. You have the advantage of cutting out for windows and such and then adding the siding around the cutouts. Besides, gluing all those little strips of siding is fun.(for a while);)
