Has anyone here purchased and/or used the Grizzly 12" disc sander. It's on Amazon for 129 + 15 shipping.

I got one a year ago. I've used it only a few times but it has worked fine for me. It runs smooth/quiet and has a dust port on the right hand side thats reasonably effective. For my puposes I'd buy it again

I just found from the local woodcraft they can't get the Delta at this point and don't know when they will be able to, it's the one I prefer but I'm up against a deadline on a project for my Grandma's 90th birthday.:D

I should have also noted there is no brake on the Griz and it takes a long time to spin down

If you want to wait for the Delta you could put a sanding disc on your tablesaw. Woodcraft carries them for $17.

I've typed my reasons for buying the Jet a number of times. A quick search on 12" Disc let me to this thread http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=75216&highlight=Disc which has one of my shortest and sweetest answers to why I didn't pick the Grizzly.
