When I first posted my gloat, I had no proof, so I shall try again:D

"I went to see a used dust collector. 2hp TEFC grizzly, it was about 12years older than I thought it was going to be(the motor was made in 1988) He was asking 150$.
I thought it seemed kinda high something so old. Then he fired it up and its a beast, since I plan to send all the dust out a window into a box I didn't care that its filtration nonexistent. While I was thinking about it we started talking, and he was getting out of the hobby, he could tell that I was really passionate about getting into the hobby, and he started giving me things... He offered me all his duct work once he got it down. Lots of sliding lock ducts and all the piping I will need. A free dado stack(a few missing) a free custom router fence for a router table I might build someday.
Then he showed me rockler taper jig, 2 benchdog feather boards, and a Kreg 2000 system complete and mounted; he asked me what I would give him for it everything including the dust collector. I handed him all my money(210$) and he though for a second, and said "well I'll never use it, and your helping me clear out space, deal". And I went home with a big smile and some fine tools."

Here's the proof;

That's good stuff Kyle. That router table fence was part of the deal too? You're in business now.

There's a book out there by Danny Proulx full of projects that can be built with just pocket screw joinery. Have a look for it on Amazon, and you can build some quick and cool stuff while you're wallet recovers. ;)

I think the DC looks pretty similar to the G1029.. different paint and stickers.

Now all you gotta do is move all that other crud out of the dining room so you can get to work....

I was just checking the forums for the first time in a while. Nice haul. It is always nice to see younger guys getting into the hobby. I myself am 29 and have been doing since I graduated my undergrad and could afford some real tools.

Thanks everyone:)
The best part is, he told me to give him a call when I had some extra money and he would hook me up again, he has a plethora of Bessy clamps and other useful things.

Well, you are in for some fun now.

The 1st thing I did was start making projects for the shop. You learn a lot and no one will ever see the mistakes.

The Kreg kit is an absolute winner. I just noticed some 18V lithium battery rigid drills for $79 at HD in my neighborhood. The battery drill is the best thing for the Kreg screws. you can do all kinds of stuff with that setup.

So start putting your shop together.

I would encourage you to hook up with some other local woodworkers and go at their shops. Talk with them about why the like they shop and what would they change.

There are a lot of WW's making excellent projects on equipment like yours. It will come with each project you complete. Just keep improving on each project.

Now start saving for those clamps..... you can never have enough.

Good luck... ( you seem to have already had some :-)

Nice haul kyle......ya did great dude!

How do you get the pics to post full size on the post rather than in thumbnail size which one has to click on to see the larger image?

Did you get my pm with the link to the TS straight edge jig?

Nice haul kyle......ya did great dude!

How do you get the pics to post full size on the post rather than in thumbnail size which one has to click on to see the larger image?

I have a photobucket account(free online place to upload images)http://photobucket.com. You can limit the file size so they show up larger in the forum, my camera is a digital slr(one of my other hobbies), and each picture is a rather large file, so I upload them first then post them instead of attaching them to my posts directly. When I want to post an image on the forum photobucket has a line of code under each of my pictures with option for posting in blogs, forums, and other online places, all I have to do is click on the line of code I need and it is automaticaly copied, then I paste it on the line I want it.
example** here is a picture of my pet dragon(a bearded dragon, they live in austrailia);
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/nomad85/IMG_1646.jpg
the code looks like this IMG]http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/nomad85/IMG_1646.jpg[/IMG (I had to erase the "[" on each end or it would have jsut posted the picture again.)
Thats probably more than you wanted to know, but if you want to know more, let me know, I am quite good with computers.

Did you get my pm with the link to the TS straight edge jig?I did, thanks so much, it really helped to see it in use. I really appreciated the help:) Everyone here is so helpful:D

The best part is, he told me to give him a call when I had some extra money and he would hook me up again, he has a plethora of Bessy clamps and other useful things.

Have him hold the Bessey's, the K-body ones anyway. Buy them onesy-twosey if you have to. I find I use my 24" ones the most and need a couple more. I would be lost without my four 31" though. The 50" get used off and on. If he has Bessey's Tradesman F-styles, etc. those can come in handy too but F-style clamps of good quality can be had at pretty reasonable prices. As I said in your pic-less post. . . Great haul.
