I think I could make the curved part of the legs with a router guide/jig of sorts maybe even with a jigsaw but how about the taper? Would you attempt it with a table saw taper jig or a bandsaw (a machine I don't own yet). The legs look like they are tapered on all sides.

John,

In the curved plane I'd use a jig and router. On the other sides I'd use a taper jig on either a table saw or a band saw.

How would I make those legs?

I would make them sturdy.

That is a very cool looking table.

I think the only portion I'd do on the TS would be the top straight section where the joinery is. Otherwise BS all the way followed by hand tools to clean up. I think a router would be an invitation for lots of big tearout at the places where the grain runout could get caught unless you pay very close attention and switch to climb cuts where you need to. I'd be a bit worried about the leg strength for the same reason. Looks like a couple of short grain spots on each, but it's obviously working on that table so...

Band saw all the way for me on this one!
