Cowboy Platter

This broadleaf maple platter is 17.5 inches wide X 1.5 inches high, and has a lacquer finish. I made it for a cowboy up in Montana which for years had it as a step going up to his home. He brought it to me while I was turning up there last summer and asked me if I could make something for his wife. You will notice lots of small cracks which were evident before I started turning.

Very nice Glenn, lots of character well done indeed , my brother lives in Montana has/had a small ranch outside of Missoula and shor nuf ..... sometimes its hard to tell the diff between 1) big leaf maple platers, 2) cow pies, 3) moose pies. :eek::D.
