Does anyone recognize this font? I've checked the 200 or so that I have and nothing is close.
Thanx,
Jim

Give us an immediate look. Someone may recognise your font but I doubt if ppl will download it to see.

Have you tried www.whatthefont.com (http://www.whatthefont.com) ???

And X4 has a built in search to find fonts.

I have no idea, and whatthefont.com probably won't work on this image. You're best bet would be to get a copy of their logo elsewhere or attempt a trace from this image.

This man can tell you anything about typesetting and fonts than you could ever imagine. His name is Bob Trogman and you can reach him at rtrogman@dc.rr.com

Thanks for the quick replies. I thought I'd have no luck but I thought I'd give it a try. The image won't work so well on whatthefont. I haven't gotten X4 since that will be my 3rd version in as many years. I'm going to ask the company for any artwork they have. Since it's a printing company, I'll bet they have a pretty clean vector image floating around somewhere.

James I've just been through my fonts (over 6000 which I detest doing) and the nearest I have found is this one. It's very close to yours and it only needs a little bit of manipulation to get it exact.

Your customer will certainly have the file. If they don't--it happens, I would try Quorum Blk BT as it seems to require the least manipulation.

This old typographer thinks it is closest (really close) to ITC Friz Quadrata popular in the late 70s.

I have tried to attach an image. You have to adjust the lowercase and caps to size and thickness but is easy.

Hope this helps

Thanks to all for the help. I did manage to come up with some images and to my surprise, they weren't consistent. Apparently, over time the people doing the artwork have changed and each got the fonts pretty close. Turns out, they didn't want to spend any money on prep so the project is over for now.

Thanx,

Jim
