I have seen dovetails cut with woodrat bits. They look like hand cut pin dovetails without the hand cut part. Would it be possible to use the bits in a leigh or akeda jig and get that hand cut look? Here is a link to the bits I'm wondering about http://www.thecraftsmangallery.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?page=W/PROD/CS/17-160
here is what the sight says about them

The optimum balance of strength and form. These unique 6.5° (1-in-9) slope cutters allow you to closely match traditional needle pin half-blind dovetails. Newly redesigned.

Width: 5.5mm, Cutting Length: 13.5mm (2 each)
Width: 7mm, Cutting Length: 18mm (2 each)Sold in pairs in recognition that these cutters can break.

The case I am working on has almost 400 dovetails. So to make any money hand cutting is not a option for me slow and steady is my dovetail method:). I was just going to bite the bullet and buy the woodrat but with the new router boss soon to be released I want to wait and get it.

thanks,
Jason

The cutters you mention are 6.5 degree, and the Liegh I believe is 7 or 8 degree. Won't work.
