Does anyone have plans to make a sled for a planer in order to use the planer for jointing?
Thanks
Dennis

In its simple form just take a piece of plywood slightly bigger than the piece of solid you are running and screw a cleat on one end for the wood to butt against then shim between the board and the ply so it doesn't rock and run it through the planer.

Hmmm, I think he is asking about edge jointing with a planer. Here you go: http://www.woodmagazine.com/wood/story.jsp?storyid=/templatedata/wood/story/data/1158612612504.xml or if you did mean face jointing: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=58735&highlight=planer+sled

Click on the video link... you should get a good idea how to build it.

If you get FWW the plans are in issue 175.
