First Vase

Here is my first attempt at a weedpot, or dry vase. It's black walnut, sanded much too far and then hit with EEE paste.

Comments welcome. Critiques too.

Scott, that is a nice looking weed pot. My wife is partial to weed pots but has not made one from walnut yet.

Nice tool work and finish Scott. Here's a few suggestions: The neck looks a little thick for the main body; down at the bottom where the base spreads out looks like the wood is burnished and didn't take the finish well. When that happens I simply burn it in with a piece of wire like you did in the upper part and nobody but me knows what happened! :) Keep on turnin'! .......Ron

Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion. I hadn't thought about burning the transition. That's a great idea.
