Norm Abrams often uses a sacrificial fence on his table saw that is attached with some simple U-shaped clamps. These clamps insert into a hole drilled in the top of the sacrificial board and straddle his Biesemeyer fence. That's a little simpler than what I have been doing (carriage bolts and wing nuts) but I can't seem to locate those clamps. Does anyone have a source ?

Bruce, I have these - they work great.

They are from Rockler (http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=17821) for $14.99 a pair.

Be well,

The Rockler pair very nice, but the one's Norm has , the fence and the clamps, can be directly ordered from Biesmeyer, but are quite a bit more expensive.

I think Norm did use the Rockler solution on the epidsode, Tablesaw 101, In practice though, he uses the Bies. But the cost is high on the bies costing more than the Bies fence I bought at lowes for $80

I was just reading this same discussion on the New Yankee Website, for both the sacrificial fence and stop block, and they are both from Biesmeyer.

My fence is a standard fence, and has holes bored through it, so I have permanently attached a 3/4" plywood face to it, and when I need to make a sacrificial cut into it, it is always there.
