SNOW DAY! SWEET!:D

So this gives me a bunch of time to devise a plan to clean up my lathe. The factory paint has been chipping off, and then, a couple days later, some rust appears in the spot. We do have a de-humidifier working 24hrs/day, though.

I was thinking I wanted to put a coat of paint on it to stop the chipping and rusting.

What do you think?

Ben, you need to remove as much of the rust as you can, sanding, or liquid rust remover, (Hydroflouric acid mild). Should be available at the mart. apply Rust-Oleyum primer, let it harden off a couple days and paint to color of choice. Good luck! :)

P.S..
spot remover for rust on clothing will work too.

Thanks for the tips. I think we have some rust-oleum downstairs. I'll give it a try.
