I wonder what websites there are selling used planes. I used to be on a email list of used planes, but can't remember the details. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Try Patrick Leach at leach@supertool.com. He has a monthly list. His descriptions are very accurate, and his prices, while not cheap, are fair.

Might be worth it to check out Sandy Moss at http://www.sydnassloot.com/

I forgot to mention in my email to you that there is a local source you can check out. Phil Whitby- The New Boston Tool Room. Phil has been a dealer and auction organizer for years and has a one room tool shop on Rte 125 in Kingston at the junction of 125 and New Boston Road. His prices are reasonable and I've bought several things from him in the past. The shop is about 5-7 miles south of Highland Hardwoods on the right hand side when you are heading south.

Don't forget E-bay.

This guy is located in my neck of the woods, in Portland, Oregon. My brother has bought from him. I've only gone "window shopping' on his website.

Peter,

If you're looking for a user, I've had good luck restoring Bailey-type planes bought off of Ebay using the techniques Bob Smalser posted on this forum (should be able to find his post with a forum search).

I just passed on #8 at a flea market the other day, too many irons in the fire right now and it would have been a bit more than I wanted to fool with.

Forgot, there's a couple more I've seen, I don't have their URLs handy, are MJDTools (Martin J Donnely) and Tia's Pages(??). Haven't bought from either but they appear to have quite a selection of old tools.
