Those of you who like Shaker furniture may be familiar with Dana Robes. He built beautiful Shaker furniture (example below) in a really cool environment. His shop was located in Enfield, NH on the shores of Lake Mascoma -- what was once a large thriving Shaker community.

I attended a 3 day class at his shop several years ago and learned a lot!

Any how, I'm getting ready to build my annual auction items (1 for my church & 1 son's high school) I usually checkout Dana Robes website for inspiration and ideas. I was sadden to learn that he closed-up shop late last year.:(:(:(

So for you Shaker fans.... Any good website for Shaker ideas, plans, inspiration...

Thanks!

I'm relatively new the Creek and have developed an appreciation for Shaker design. Any guidance or site recommendation were I might learn more about their design would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ed

jj,

Sorry to hear about Dana Robes.

Here is another one...

Also, Kelly Mehler has a school in Berea, and he prefers Shaker style as well, although I know he has built other styles on commission.

Kelly's school fills fast, and last year Chris Becksvoort taught there. He should be back summer of 2009.
