Yes. The openings around the bit and in the fence are not large enough to provide for sufficient air flow, plus they help with air flow along the bottom of the cabinet.

For my table, I also bored 1 1/2" holes through the Rousseau insert plate to get more airflow. That is, before I re-engineered it and now it has plenty of space, but it also makes it easier to get the plate out of the table when you want to.

Adequate entry holes are needed to allow airflow out the DC port. I did this:

82074 82075

There is a 3/8" gap between the backside of the pegboard and the luan back where the holes are cut. After a lot of experimentation, this yielded the best dust romoval from the cabinet. I hang my wrenches and depth gauge on the pegboard. The round recess in the upper left corner of the inside door frame holds a magnet for closure.

I designed an opening in the front of my cabinet so I didn't have the "holes". I've yet to figure out the picture posting methods, as I'm technically challenged! I can email you a pic. Send me a PM with your email address if you're interested.
