Care of Stabilized Pen Blanks

Hey folks,
what is the best way to care for stabilized wooden pens. I have made several pens, finished with hut friction polish. After a few days there is no shine left on the pen. What do you all do?

I sand through 12,000 Grit with MicroMesh on all the stabilized pen blanks and I do apply two or three coats of Crystal Coat with additional Shellac added to the bottle. No complaints so far....
