This small wood is from a fence row and I originally thought it was Chinese Tallow. After talking with members of the local club, I know it is not what I thought....and will have to wait for spring to help me identify it!

The wood turns and finishes well and is really stable. I like it a lot. I think this wood is a future candidate for projects featuring some embellishment as it does not have much in the way of dramatic grain patterns.

what ever it is it has good curves which are pleasing to the eyes. I like it.

Very nice Arlen. The plain grain on the wood allows us to look more at the form, which I really like a lot.

Great looking bowl. Especially for the first natural edge. Good job on the drop curve form.

I like it Arlan! Very nice form to the bowl! You are right - not a lot of grain patterns showing! Might be a good candidate for some dye.

Nice one Arlan, a little dye or maybe some pyrography might give it some visual interest since it has so little grain.

Great job! I like the wood "as is"....it emphasizes the form and bark.
