Did you know that forest does not sharpen there blades or resharpen they send them out to be sharpened. Mike

Are you sure about that? If that is the case I still think that they are doing something right. They are great when they come back.

Yes I am sure MY saw sharpening shop snook's Told me yesterday It is in Salem Oregon They have a 800 number. It is 1-800-272-2570 Address is 1455 Oak st S. E. Salem, Or.97301 They do a great job. Mike

Mike, is there, uh, any conceivable chance that _your_ shop, theoretically a competitor in the arena of sharpening sawblades could maybe be mistaken or something. What with New Jersey being so far away and everything? :D

I'm not sure they could ship the blades from Forrest to Oregon, back to Forrest, and back to me in the time in the 10 days or so it took to get mine back last time...

This is a copy of what is on the Forrest Blade web site which states the sharpening service are provided at their "factory location" in Clifton, NJ.

This Sharpening Guide is provided as a service to our valued customers. The information is believed to be correct at the time of posting. All inquires about Forrest Manufacturing, Inc. sharpening services should be made to Forrest Manufacturing, Inc. All sharpening services are provided by Forrest Manufacturing , Inc. at their factory location in Clifton, NJ. All items to be sharpened must be sent to that location prepaid freight by customer. Return shipping charges will be added by Forrest Manufacturing, Inc. to the sharpening cost.

I think Mike is only saying Forrest doesn't sharpen blades in house. I don't think he is saying his service sharpens blades for Forrest.

"Stubs" Forrest does his own resharpening in NJ.
