Looks like you could use a regular panel cutting bit with a back cutter on it. Just reverse the panel. I've made a few doors with the panel reversed, all you have to do is make sure your bit height is set correctly for this type of door.

A friend of mine uses a profile like this, but he has a shaper. He uses 1/2 inch wood.

I cannot tell from the pic so disregard if I am off base. Is this a shaker edge? That is a flat chamfer at a shallow angle? Like #8699 here: http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/raised_panel_router_bits2.html

I can't tell very well from the photo, but it looks like they used a rail and stile bit like normal, but instead of a panel raising bit, they just used a bull nose to cut the profile in the panel.

That's a typical Shaker format door and most of the major cutter suppliers have a bit that will produce it.

I spoke with my friend who does this with a shaper. The shaper bit is more like a bull nose bit he indicates.

Thanks for input.

Infinity or Whiteside. They are called Shaker style.

Check the link, and look at Shaker bit 8684 - I have that one. Best is to use 1/2" panel. Do a 1/4" profile depth, and you will have a 1/4" edge thickness to fit your stile and rail grooves.

Im in the middle of making same doors on a vanity fo rmyself. I just dadoed a tenon around entire panel an then blockplaned the bevel. I actually made the tenon 1/4 deeper than dadoe so there was a 1/4 reveal. I filled the dado also with space balls.

Came out fine for my purposes. I will be stained dark in a small bath.
